\J	The Computer Science Department is considering recommending
David Luckham for promotion from research associate to senior research
associate.  The senior research associate position, while not carrying
academic tenure, carries with it membership in the Academic Council,
the possibility of serving as a principal dissertation adviser, and
the possibility of being a principal investigator on a contract or
grant.

	The Department would appreciate any information you can give us
